Step by step homes was established to help provide a safe, nurturing, stable home for children and young people. Our objective is to provide an individually tailored therapeutic parenting plan for each young person in our homes.
The therapeutic parenting plan for each individual young person will be reviewed and updated regularly with our young people and our independent psychologist.
We pride ourselves in providing a safe and psychologically secure environment offering structure and consistency to young people, in a homely nurturing and calm setting.
We aim to implement a therapeutic approach to all care provided with the young person’s best interest at the centre of this. Our approach will help our young people gain confidence in their life, to help develop their social skills and life skills as they grown into an independent adult thus creating a positive outlook for their future.
All our staff have continuous training to the highest standards to help support them within their career so they can help us offer the best environment, support, and care possible for our young people. Staff are trained in the PACE/Kim Goldings model of therapeutic care to help support our young people.
We provide a vast range of support and services which are always focused on the young person’s best interest to help them progress into a young person and prepare them for independent living when the time is right for them.
The range of services include emotional support, educational support, life skills, hobbies, health and many more.
We offer short to long term care periods or emergency placement where needed.
Providing a safe and secure environment is important to us and we believe it is what makes a real difference.
Every young person is different, which is why our approach is tailored to each person to help them thrive.
Our team are compassionate and experienced in dealing with the challenges our young people may have experienced.
